JUNIORS
Summer Programs
Our Summer Season offers opportunities for Middle and High school age athletes to learn about rowing for the first time, or continue their training through the Summer in anticipation of Fall Season, or heading off to row in college.
Yellow Group
The Yellow Group is for athletes in grades 6-8 that want to learn the fundamentals of rowing without the pressure of racing. Athletes have the option to attend all home regattas and participate in the Percy Priest Cup Series. Practice options are Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday with the option of attending all four days. 8th graders have the option to join either team based on the level of commitment they are looking for. No experience is needed!
Blue Group
The Blue Group is for athletes in grades 8-12. This group focuses on the daily process of training the whole athlete (mentally, physically and emotionally) with the end goal of racing at the local, regional and national levels. In order to achieve these goals, it is expected that athletes attend all or at least the vast majority of practices. No experience is needed!
Practice Times & Location
Practices run from 4:15 pm-6:30 pm Monday through Friday.
Saturday morning practices run from 9am-11:30am.
We meet for practice at Hamilton Creek Sailboat Marina for practice unless notified otherwise prior to the start of practice.

Percy Priest Cup Series- these are home events, normally taking place during practice time, but depending on the event we are doing, and may include an earlier start or special rules. The goal for these events is to get fun, low-pressure racing experience toward bigger fall races and prepare for the transition to winter training and spring racing.
Head Races- Secret City, Music City, and Head of the Hooch are our three big races for the season. This is our opportunity to see how we have progressed as athletes and as a team on both the Juniors and Masters sides.
