EQUIPMENT mANAGER

General Responsibilities

  • Work with the Executive Director on maintaining an up-to-date Capital Needs List

  • Meet with the Juniors and Masters Advisory Board chairs seasonally to discuss membership needs

  • Meet with the Juniors and Masters Program Directors seasonally to discuss membership needs

  • Assist with all equipment repairs 

  • Track and report to the Executive Director on the usage and mileage of all equipment

Rowing Shells & Oars

  • Keep the Nashville Rowing fleet of shells and oars in working order

  • Populate and update an organized list of rowing shells, their oars, and their rigs

  • Driving trailer to and from equipment purchase sites or regattas when necessary

Fitness Equipment

  • Keep the Nashville Rowing fitness equipment in working order

  • Populate and update an organized list of Nashville Rowing fitness equipment and their state of use

  • Organize all fitness equipment purchases with the approval of the Executive Director and Board of Directors

Launches & Engines

  • Keep the Nashville Rowing launches & engines in working order

  • Maintain the stock of gas the club uses

  • Populate and update an organized list of Nashville Rowing launches & engines and their state of use

  • Organize all launches & engines purchases with the approval of the Executive Director and Board of Directors

  • Keep all permits and registrations up to date on any launches

Further Responsibilities

  • Keep track of and update all spare parts, tools, and necessary equipment for the maintenance of Nashville Rowing equipment

  • Assist in all trailer loading and regatta travel, specifically for equipment and tools

  • Keep all permits and registrations up to date on any trailers

  • Perform maintenance on any Nashville Rowing trailers

  • Organize all truck rentals for regattas and other equipment needs

Annual Review

Base salary review is based on the “responsibilities” used when hiring current coach.  We view these activities as the minimum expectations for our staff.  A good job here is reflected in a salary increase. An annual bonus will be considered with the potential for the staff member to earn an additional 0-10% of his base salary.  The Board of Directors determines bonus point criteria for each year and those criteria for the next year are shown to the head coach during annual review. 

Job Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of previous experience preferred; Familiarity with being a part of a growing club/organization; Experience safely loading and driving a trailer; Experience rigging and maintaining boats of different makes, ages, and boatclasses; Boat repair experience a plus; Must be patient, make good decisions, and have a positive attitude; Safe Sport certified; Must be able to pass background check
