Changing Lives Through Rowing
Whether you're brand new to rowing or an experienced competitor, we have a place for you!
Our mission is to offer athletes of all levels the chance to explore the sport of rowing and embrace the incredible opportunities it provides.
Through our programs, participants can grow personally while developing valuable skills and habits. These skills not only empower individuals to compete at the highest levels but also enhance their contributions to their communities.
As one of Middle Tennessee's emerging sports, we're dedicated to making rowing more visible, accessible, and sustainable. Together, we aim to expand opportunities and grow alongside the vibrant city of Nashville!
Where Do We Row?
Nashville Rowing practices primarily out of Hamilton Creek Marina on Percy Priest Lake, just a short drive from downtown Music City.
Our teams race everywhere from the heart of Music City on the Cumberland River, to East Tennessee, Florida, Massachusetts, and more!
About Nashville rowing
Nashville Rowing is a 501c3 Non-Profit serving the Greater Nashville (TN) area. Our organization was started in 1986 by a small group of adult rowers looking to build a rowing community here in Music City. Nashville Rowing began its rebranding in 2013 with the creation of Juniors programming, and greatly expanded Adult programming. In the last 4 years, we have seen tremendous growth in membership, equipment, competitiveness, and coaching. Nashville Rowing currently has members from Davidson, Williamson, and Sumner counties as well as middle and high school athletes from 28 schools and counting in the greater Nashville Area. Our juniors program has become an increasingly competitive force at both regional and national levels with qualifying boats competing at the US Rowing Youth Nationals each year for the last three years. We have established ourselves as a life-cycle program, where programs feed each other from middle school development all the way up to adult competitive programs. Our goal is to facilitate the gaining of skills that not only allow our participants to compete at the highest level, but that can be transferrable to their lives as members of our greater community.
Our Programs
Our Juniors Programs are for athletes between the ages of 12 and 19 years old who want to tap their personal potential & discover applicable life skills, through athletic growth. We provide appropriate developmental training designed to develop the whole athlete and prepare them for day to day challenges, and high level competition!
Our Masters Programs are for adult athletes over 19 years old who want to get a complete body & mind workout while learning a unique sport that provides time outdoors and the ability to work within a team. We have opportunities for all skill levels, whether you are just learning the sport, returning after some time off the water, or want to compete at a National and International level!
